Situated on the banks of the Kwando river, on a private concession within the Mudumu National Park, Lianshulu Main Lodge and Lianshulu Bush Lodge have earned the reputation of being the finest lodges in the eastern Caprivi and offer a true African wilderness experience. The area is a lush wilderness of riverine forest, marsh and open woodland, in stark contrast to the rest of arid Namibia, providing a home to plants, birds and animals that are unable to survive elsewhere in the country. Individually furnished, tiled, wood and thatch chalets with private bathrooms, overlook the Kwando River and its flood plains. The thatched dining, lounge and bar areas of both lodges open onto spacious and handcrafted wooden decks, affording spectacular views over the lagoon and river. Activities include nature drives, guided nature walks, boat excursions on the Kwando River, night drives, bird watching and the use of the swimming pool. Lianshulu is involved in a number of community development projects such as the Lizauli Traditional Village. A Mudumu National Park entrance fee of 20 N$ per person/ and 20 N$ per car (selfdrive) is payable on arrival.
