GocheGanas Nature Reserve is situated in central Namibia, a mere 29 km south-east of Windhoek on a Private Nature Reserve. The Name “Gocheganas” means “Place of Camel Thorns, abounding with Candle-Pod Acacias”. You can see 21 different game species roaming the 6.000 ha Nature Reserve or watch a variety of bird life.
The lodge is sited on a hilltop overlooking a spectacular landscape; this luxurious lodge offers a unique combination of Wildlife, Nature and Wellness experiences.
The architecture incorporates local arts and crafts in celebration of the culture of Namibia. The layout follows a body, mind and soul format: the hierarchy of Courtyards leading up the hilltop to the main Wellness Citadel forms a spatial metaphor for the body’s pressure points.
There are 16 totally private suites under thatched roofs with uninterrupted and spectacular views over the surrounding Reserve, a reception & Curio-Gallery-shop, a restaurant, a 360° view bar, Sundowner terraces, star gazing fire circle. The Wellness Village has 11 different treatment rooms, heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool, fitness-, gym- and yoga facilities, Granite Bath (cave sauna).
It is a place where the noise of our busy lives is drowned out by the whispers of tranquillity - a place where we can draw upon the strength of a healthy body and the sanctuary of our inner calm.
