Situated 10 km from Otavi on the road to Lake Guineas, Gabus Game Ranch is a perfect stopover, whether en route to Etosha or Caprivi. Here you learn everything about animals, plants, rocks and life in general of Namibia. This experience will enhance the rest of your tour, as you will be able to appreciate Namibia with all your senses. Visiting Gabus at the end of your tour will give you an opportunity to re-live and understand everything that previously seemed out of reach. As Gabus is a small guest farm, a maximum of twelve people can be accommodated. This provides an intimate and relaxed atmosphere which can be intensely enjoyed.
On the daily game drives a variety of different game species my be viewed, like Kudu, Eland, Giraffe, Waterbuck, Springbuck, Impala, Black Wildebeest, Haartebeest, Warthog, and smaller antelope like duiker, dik dik and steenbuck. Not only game is viewed on these memorable drives, but historic family places, like a meat smoking room in the mountain, the old house foundations and a natural water fountain will be visited and rock formations can be admired.
Game drives are complemented by hiking trails to be explored on your own or with a guide, bird watching, game watching in special hides, relaxing at the pool overlooking a waterhole which is constantly visited by different species of game during the day. Another special extra is the spotlight which provides excellent viewing by night.
