Erongo Wilderness Lodge offers you the real African experience and can be considered as the lodge with a difference – only 10 km off the tarred road. You will enjoy luxury-tented bungalows (ten in total) with en suite bathrooms, built on stilts into the granite foothills of the Erongo Mountains. In the late afternoons, baboons are likely to entertain guests with their escapades on the shear rock faces. From the deck one has a panoramic view of the plains and the setting sun. Leopards have been spotted on the rock outcrops at the lodge. The call of the Hartlaub Francolins, Rock Runner, White Tailed Shrike, Rosy-faced Lovebirds and many other endemic birds will wake you. Jack, the resident Guinea Fowl, might even escort you to your bungalow. The tree and plant life in the Erongo region is quite special. Whether you stay on the Tree House for a night, watch game drinking at the waterholes from our stone hides or go on one of the guided nature walks, your stay will be a memorable experience.
